Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven is heating, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure your donuts don’t stick.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour with the plain Greek yogurt. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to mix the ingredients together until a sticky dough begins to form.
Once the mixture is combined, turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface. Knead the dough gently with your hands for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes smooth and cohesive.
Roll the dough out using a rolling pin, aiming for a thickness of about 1/2 inch. To create the donut shapes, use a donut cutter or two circular cookie cutters—one larger for the outer circle and a smaller one for the center. Place the cut donuts on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Transfer the baking sheet to your preheated oven and bake the donuts for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until they are a beautiful golden brown on top.
Once baked, remove the donuts from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack to maintain their fluffy texture.
Notes
Serve warm with powdered sugar or melted chocolate.
