Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup whole milk

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, whole milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar to create the cinnamon swirl mixture.

Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.

Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon layer, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture on top. Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter to create a marbled effect.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzle consistency.

Once the cake has cooled, drizzle the glaze evenly over the top.

                        - Presentation Tips: Cut the coffee cake into squares and serve warm on a beautiful platter. Dust with a bit of extra powdered sugar for an elegant touch. Enjoy with a hot cup of coffee!
